SAMARTH CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE 10000 CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY AIMING TO SAVE LIVES THROUGH CANCER PREVENTION

I am volunteering with Samarth NGO to raise awareness and funds to empower 10,000 children, parents, and community through cancer education, screening, and prevention, saving lives nationwide and reducing cancer incidence across India. India faces 1.4 million annual cancer cases, with 90% late detections due to awareness gaps, disproportionately affecting women and girls, especially in low-income and rural areas, due to misinformation. Please support this campaign by entering the amount you wish to contribute using a Credit/Debit card, Net-banking, etc. Contributing to the campaign has 80G tax benefits. Funds will be transparently utilised for Dignity Kits, kids' lunch, transportation, printing, project coordination, team salaries, and media promotion, ensuring effective project execution and maximum impact for beneficiaries.. You will also get a report on how funds were used by Samarth. Foreign contribution is not allowed. LET US RAISE AWARENESS AND SAVE LIVES

The Social problem :

In India, cancer awareness is a pressing concern. Over 1.4 million new cases are reported annually, with cervical cancer being the second most common among women. However, 90% of cases are often detected late due to lack of awareness. 1 in 10 women are unaware of cervical/breast cancer screening, leaving them vulnerable to late diagnosis and poor treatment outcomes. Women and adolescent girls are disproportionately affected, as limited access to information and screening services puts them at higher risk. Many adolescent girls lack knowledge on cancer risks, especially those caused by lifestyle or infection (e.g., HPV). Misinformation and limited access to screening/treatment services exacerbate the issue, particularly among low-income and rural populations.

The Social solution:

The cancer awareness program, targeting 10,000 children from 10 schools in central Delhi, will massively impact the fight against cancer in India. By educating school-going children and adolescents on early detection, healthy habits, and HPV vaccination, we empower the next generation to take control of their health. Parents and teachers will also play a crucial role in early identification and support prevention. Women in the community will benefit from information on breast and cervical cancer screening and self-examination. Broader awareness campaigns and screening camps will reach the general public, creating a ripple effect. This initiative will not only solve the problem of lack of awareness in central Delhi but also pave the way for nationwide expansion, ultimately reducing cancer incidence and saving countless lives across India.
