I am running a crowdfunding campaign to support children from low-income backgrounds who are suffering from cancer with treatment, transportation, accommodation, counselling, education, and staff for government hospitals. India witnesses 50,000 to 60,000 new childhood cancer cases per year and has the lowest number of Pediatric Oncologists. Pediatric Cancers are also treated in only very few of the hospitals in India, mainly in Tier 1 cities or metros. Team Aroh supports childhood cancer treatment for the underprivileged with treatment, transportation, accommodation, counselling, education, and staff for government hospitals. Every year, 70000+ children in India are diagnosed with cancer. While many childhood cancers can be successfully treated, thousands of families struggle to complete the journey because of financial, emotional, and social challenges. Most specialised treatment centres are in major cities, forcing families to travel long distances and stay away from home for months. Although treatment in government hospitals is subsidised, families still spend around â¹5 lakh on diagnostic tests, medicines, travel, accommodation, and other essential expenses. For many, this means exhausting their savings, losing income, or even stopping treatment midway. The burden goes beyond finance. Parents face constant fear and uncertainty, while children miss school, lose their daily routine, and spend months in hospitals away from friends and family. Children need emotional support, financial guidance, and someone to stand beside them throughout their journey toward recovery.
Team Aroh has been supporting childhood cancer cases since 2013, and support areas include the cost of treatment, arrangement of transportation (ambulance/cabs), a comfortable stay for the child near the hospital after treatment, counselling for the family as they get shattered seeing their child fighting with cancer, school fees of the child after treatment, and providing staff to the hospitals.
Aroh Giving Hope ensures no child loses the fight against cancer due to financial barriers, limited awareness, or lack of emotional care. In partnership with hospitals and communities, we build an support ecosystem so every child can thrive.
Contribution of as little as Rs. 499/- or more from you will provide cancer treatment, transportation (ambulance/cab, medical staff to hospital, comfortable stay after treatment near the hospital, counseling to family, and school fees for one child.
The funds collected will be given to Aroh - Giving Hope who will use it to pay the cancer treatment expenses, ambulance/cab expenses, after treatment stay, counseling for family, staff to hospital, and school fee of the child.
You will receive a 80G/donation receipt in 7 days after the campaign is closed. Foreign contribution is not allowed. You will receive details of how money was spent in 6 months after the campaign is closed by Aroh.
