SUBHIKSHA CAMPAIGN TO EMPOWER DISABLED CHILDREN WITH EDUCATION, THERAPY AND DIGNITY

I am running an online fundraising campaign to Empower Children with Disabilities Through Education, therapy, and dignity. Millions of children with disabilities in India are locked away, malnourished, and excluded from education due to poverty, discrimination, and lack of access to therapy and inclusive schools. Subhiksha Voluntary Organisation is changing this. Based in the slums of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Subhiksha provides special education, vocational training, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and emotional support to children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, and more - empowering them to live with dignity. Support this initiative by contributing any amount of your choice using Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Your donations are eligible for 80G tax benefits. You’ll also receive a report on how your contribution was used. (Note: Foreign contributions are not accepted.) Let’s create an inclusive future - Empower Children with Disabilities Today.

The Social problem :

A special needs child requires specific attention and care due to one or more disabilities that impact learning or daily activities. In India, there is limited awareness about their potential, and systemic gaps persist in education and inclusion. Despite the RPWD Act promoting equal participation, children with disabilities remain marginalised - unseen, unheard, and uncounted. Around 30% of all persons with disabilities in India are children of school-going age, many without access to formal or special education. Barriers include inaccessible infrastructure, lack of awareness, poor transportation, and poverty. With a strong link between poverty and disability, inclusive education is key to breaking the cycle. As India advances toward the Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring no one is left behind is more urgent than ever.

The Social solution:

Subhiksha Centre for Children with Special Needs is transforming the lives of children with intellectual and physical disabilities in the slums of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Founded in 2009, Subhiksha Voluntary Organisation provides specialised education, therapy, and care to children who are often hidden away due to stigma, poverty, and lack of resources. Many families cannot afford basic treatment, leading to isolation and developmental delays. Since 2017, our Day Care Centre has been offering NIOS-certified education, nurturing each child’s unique abilities with personalised support and care. Your contribution helps unlock the potential of these children, giving them access to learning, dignity, and a brighter future. Support Subhiksha and be part of a real, lasting impact—where disability is no longer a barrier to education and inclusion.
