The Social problem :

FEEL Charitable Trust serves vulnerable Irular and Narikuravar tribal communities in Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu, where families face interconnected challenges of poverty, food insecurity, limited education and healthcare access, unemployment, and inadequate livelihood opportunities. Currently supporting 25 families (approximately 100 individuals), the trust addresses a wider community of 300+ families struggling with irregular incomes, inability to afford nutritious food, education, transportation, healthcare, medicines, clothing, and hygiene products. Children encounter barriers to schooling and nutrition, while women and youth lack access to skills training and income-generating opportunities. Unsafe drinking water and limited healthcare compound health and financial burdens, creating a cycle of poverty that persists across generations and demands integrated, sustainable intervention.

The Social solution:

FEEL Charitable Trust run community development programme combines immediate relief with long-term empowerment for rural and Narikuravar tribal families. The approach identifies vulnerable families, then provides food and essential support including groceries, nutrition, clothing, and hygiene products. Education initiatives offer school transportation, evening tuition, materials, and scholarships to retain children in school. Quarterly healthcare camps deliver general, child, women's, eye, and dental services with medicines and referrals. Safe drinking water is ensured through community RO facilities with maintenance and quality monitoring. Women and youth receive vocational training, certification, entrepreneurship support, and livelihood opportunities. This holistic model addresses interconnected poverty causes, moving families from survival and dependency towards education, health, dignity, opportunity, and self-reliance through direct engagement, partnerships
