SOCIAL PROBLEM KARYASHALA IS ADDRESSING
40% of the fruit produced goes for waste in India. This a significant loss of valuable resources and has severe economic, social, and environmental consequences.

India generates about 67 million tons of food waste annually, including fruits, vegetables, grains, and other food items. 90% of fruit waste by juice vendors, restaurants, and households go to dumping grounds and gets decomposed over a period of time. House-holds, fruit juice vendors and restaurants have zero to limited understanding of the economics of fruit waste.

90% of uneducated/illiterate women from low- income communities are unemployed. Additionally, the use of chemical-based cleaning agents at home can have several harmful effects on both human health and the environment. Some of the harmful effects includes health hazards, environment pollution, Antibiotic resistance:, Poisoning, Corrosion and damage to surfaces, and more.
