All it takes is 15 to 20 minutes of your time daily for the next 14 days to provide affordable treatment to the needy suffering from anorectal disease.

The problem Healing Hands Foundation is addressing
1 in 350 adults in India are suffering from anorectal diseases. Ignorance, shame, awkwardness, superstitious beliefs work collectively to hinder people from seeking medical help.

A lot of the cases encountered in Pune city were chronic cases, which meant that the patient had lived with the condition for months to years. Considering that most anorectal diseases are easily treatable, it came as an eye opener to the ignorance people were living in.

People find it uncomfortable to talk about blood in stools or mass coming out of the anus. The cost of treatment of anorectal diseases is a major expense on the pockets of people from slums and villages in India.

If anorectal diseases are ignored or timely medical help is not provided to the patient, it can cause unbearable anal pain, Anemia and blood clotting, the person will find it difficult to sit or walk, increase chances of developing other anorectal diseases, can cause anus closure, difficult to pass the stool, and many more.
