You will be volunteering your skills and time to rase awareness and funds to help AWAKE (Association of Women Entreprenures of Karnataka) provide training, microloans, market links, and digital tools so women build lasting businesses benefiting families and communities.
All it takes is 15 to 30 minutes of your time daily for the next 14 days to successfully help AWAKE raise awareness and funds.
Social problem AWAKE is addressing
Women from low-income backgrounds in Karnataka face big barriers to entrepreneurship. Many lack access to loans or savings, with women entrepreneurs receiving less than 10% of formal credit in rural areas.
Limited business training and low literacy make planning and record-keeping hard. Cultural expectations and family duties reduce time available for work, and mobility restrictions limit market access.
Poor access to markets, networks, and digital tools keeps incomes unstable; nearly half of women-led microenterprises don’t survive past two years. These obstacles trap capable women in poverty and block their chances to build lasting businesses.
