You will be volunteering your skills and time to raise awareness and funds to distribute dry ration to 1500 families across Tiruchirapalli, Karur, Dindigul, Pudukottai, and Karur districts of Tamil Nadu
All it takes is 15 to 20 minutes of your time daily for the next 14 days to raise funds and distribute ration to 1500 families.
The problem SPPD is addressing
The covid pandemic has been taking a heavy toll on the lives of the families belonging to the underprivileged sections; the children of these families are the most affected. Now together with the pandemic the flood disaster has added to the woes of the families belonging to the underprivileged and marginalized sections in our working areas.
The north east monsoon rains have been lashing most parts of the state of Tamil Nadu for the last few weeks inundating an unprecedented number of residential localities, especially the poor neighborhoods. This has left the families of the unorganized sector in dire straits as loss of livelihood has increased multifold.
Immediate support to 1500 children of daily wage laborers families to withstand the crisis by providing dry ration supply for a year. This has been adding salt to the wounds being suffered by these poor families due to the ongoing onslaught of the pandemic causing loss of livelihood.
