PROBLEM SAHYAM FOUNDATION IS ADDRESSING
Aspiring medical students from poor financial backgrounds in India often face several challenges that can hinder their pursuit of medical education.

Some common challenges include, High Tuition and Fees, Expensive Study Materials, and Limited Access to Coaching Institutes.

The competitive nature of medical entrance exams in India adds pressure, and students from low-income families face challenges in affording additional resources for exam preparation, Lack of Guidance and Mentoring, Limited Exposure to Clinical Experience. Unavailability of Scholarships, Financial Strain on Families.

The stress and pressure associated with financial constraints, competition, and academic demands can contribute to mental health challenges among aspiring medical students.
