You will be volunteering your skills and time to raise funds to support children from low-income backgrounds who are suffering from cancer with treatment, transportation, accommodation, and counselling.
All it takes is 15 to 20 minutes of your time daily for the next 14 days to support child cancer patients from low-income background.
PROBLEM NIRU FOUNDATION IS ADDRESSING
India witnesses 50000 to 60000 new childhood Cancer cases each year. India also has less than 200 Pediatric Oncologists in the entire country.
Pediatric Cancers are only very few of the hospitals in India, mainly in Tier 1 cities or metros. Any Childhood Cancer treatment will cost around Rs. 5 Lakhs and in a government hospital, a lot of tests need to be done from outside of the hospital as well. Ambulance/cabs, stay arrangement after discharge etc is a major expense and family gets shattered in the situation.
All the Oncology hospitals in India are overcrowded and the department is understaffed, especially so in government hospitals. This critically affects the treatment of Childhood Cancer because it needs more care and attention.
Mortality rate during the first few months of treatment goes high if the nursing care is not adequate.
AS A CAMPAIGN VOLUNTEER FOR NIRU FOUNDATION
1) You will be rewarded with SOCIAL VOLUNTEERING CERTIFICATE after the successful completion of the campaign goal (In 14 days). This adds a lot of value to your resume.
2) It is a perfect opportunity for you to learn crucial life skills that are important for your career and personal life.
3) You will be raising awareness and funds to provide free shoes to people who cannot afford to buy shoes and help cobblers to improve their economic activity who are badly hit by covid through shoes bank project.
4) Spend only 15 minutes to 20 minutes on average of your volunteering time for 14 days to raise INR 35000/- or more.
5) Your friends donating to your campaign will stand a chance to win food, clothing, and travel discount coupon vouchers from selected brands.
6) Upon raising a minimum of Rs. 150000/-, you stand a chance to win a free professional career counselling session.
7) A letter of recommendation will be rewarded to you if you get 15 or more volunteers from your network for doing the campaign and if the total campaign amount from the volunteers invited by you exceeds more than 5lacs.
