SaiKrupa Ekta Social Welfare Foundation is working in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, where many children from rural and urban families face serious trouble continuing their education.
Thousands of them do not get enough guidance, encouragement, or financial help to stay in school.
Many girls are expected to help at home or work in farms, leaving little time for study. Even when they are bright, hardworking, and full of potential, their chances of building a better future are often reduced by poverty and lack of support.
In many families, parents are unable to understand the long-term value of education because they have had little or no schooling themselves. As a result, many children are left behind before they can fully grow.
