SOCIAL PROBLEM SOCH IS ADDRESSING
Over 30 lakh children in India are drug addicts. Over 20% of drug addict children are school drop outs. Over 90% of the drug addict children are run away children, found at railways stations, bus stops, streets, slums, rural, and tribal areas. More than 50% of the drug addicted children get involved into drugs due to peer pressure and financial burden of the family.
Over 3000 children die every year due to drug addiction in India. Once children starts consuming drugs, their education, mental health, and physical health is ruined. A child once drops out of the school, does not want to get back to school due to drugs.
By the time child and their parents realises the importance of education and how drugs have ruined their lives, it is too late for the child to continue formal education or get back to track.
There are a very limited number of good rehabilitation centres that supports overall development of drug addicted child in India.
