All it takes is 15 to 30 minutes of your time daily for the next 14 days to help set up computer lab in government schools.
SOCIAL PROBLEM NIRMAAN ORGANISATION IS ADDRESSING
Only 29% of the government schools in India have computers for students to learn. More than 60% schools in rural areas facses power-cuts. Even though a lot of government schools have computers, the teaching faculty is not skilled enough to provide experiential learning to the students.
Many government schools computers are not functional or are not equipped to teach basic digital lessons. This puts students graduating from government schools, who typically come from socio-economically lower strata of society, at a disadvantage in future job market and career development.
Schools have also been pushing students to study online and millions of students dont have the required tools to study online. By the time students pass their schools, more than 95% students are fail to cope with the rapidly changing technology world.
While STEM learning is proven to be the future, there is lack of infrastructure for studying STEM in the present Government schools. Due to limited access to internet, many girls inspite of being quite adept at STEM related subjects, end up not pursuing it in their graduation or for their careers.
