Welcome to the SOCIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM OF FundCorps. The most trusted and loved crowdfunding platform for NGOs PAN India.
You will be volunteering your skills and time to raise awareness and funds to provide tailoring training and employment to 122 men and women from rural areas of the Kasese district, western Uganda.
All it takes is 15 to 20 minutes of your time daily for the next 14 days to provide employment to 122 youth men and women.
The problem Rwenzori Youth Empowerment is addressing
Youth unemployment in Uganda is over 13.3%. This poses serious development challenges, particularly to the ongoing efforts to poverty reduction.
The Ugandan youth who has some level of education is more likely to be unemployed compared to those with no education. While an increase in age appears to increase youth unemployment for females, the married youth have fewer chances of being unemployed compared to the unmarried youth.
Team Rwenzori Youth Empowerment (RYE) has been training youth on tailoring skills, carpentry skills, knitting skills, and skill training on other daily wage-earning opportunities for men and women from rural areas of Kasese district, western Uganda.
Team RYE due to lock-down has not been able to provide many opportunities to men and women. As a result, many daily wage earners have lost their only opportunity and families have been starving.
