ANJU'S CAMPAIGN TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTARY EDUCATION TO CHILDREN FROM EWS
I am running a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to create awareness on prevention of COVID-19 & nurture children from economically weaker section to maximise the benefits of being in Delhi's premium school by providing supplementary academic support. Children at private schools in Delhi, under the EWS quota are not able to cope with academics & strange environment due to getting introduced to new technology, new education system, and lack of resources. During COVID-19, team Samagraa has taken the initiative to help children from economically weaker section with academics, social skill development, & mental health development, through online session & post lock-down, through a happiness center focused on two hours of tutorials & extra curricular activities. Hundreds and thousands of children in Delhi who got admissions in private schools of Delhi due to EWS quota have been finding it difficult to cope with the new environment. The new private schools offer them the same learning experience as it offers to other students resulting in a confused state of mind for EWS students. EWS students are getting exposed to a technology that is required to complete the assignments which EWS students can't afford. Getting into a new environment may be exciting for a lot of EWS children, however it is also equally disturbing their mental health as they don't have resources to cope with the system. There is a huge gap for academic support and emotional support for EWS students of private schools in Delhi.
Team Samagraa has been working with EWS students of private schools in Delhi since July 2018. Samagraa is currently supporting 56 children and aims at supporting 500 children by the academic year end of 2022. Samagraa offers unique space for EWS children to come, spend two hours, get academic support from qualified and experienced teachers, develop social skills through designed workshops, mental health development through yoga and fitness sessions, value education class through discussions and activities, psychological development through partnering Karma centres, and get access to additional resources required to complete assignments. Samagraa also holds regular parents meetings to update the parents on the academic progress and also to sync them with Samagraa philosophy so that Samagraa can work in partnership towards the goal of holistic development of the children.
Samagraa, a non profit trust run by enthusiastic team aiming to bridge academic & social gap of children from economically weak background who've gained admission in premier, mainstream schools of Delhi, under Right to Education act in EWS category.
Rs. 300/- (one month) or Rs. 3700/- (annually) from you will support one child, get academic support from qualified & experienced teachers, develop social skills, mental health, values education, & psychological development through happiness centre.
The total funds collected will be used towards hiring academic teachers, stationary, dance teacher, rental, conveyance, snacks, and contingency cost which will educate 500 children from Economically Weaker Section by the end of 2022 academic year
Funding this campaign has 80G tax benefits. You will receive an 80G receipt in 7 days after the campaign is closed. Foreign contribution is not allowed. You will receive report of how money was spent in 6 months after the campaign is closed.
Contributing Rs. 3700/- or above will help 1 child from economically weaker section get support in formal education & develop emotional health through happiness center for one year. You will get a thank you call from the child for your contribution.
Contributing Rs. 7400/- or above will help 2 children or more from EWS get support in formal education & emotional health through a happiness center for one year. You will get a thank you call & thank you card from two children for your contribution.
Contributing Rs. 11100/- or above will help 3 children or more from EWS get support in formal education & mental health through a happiness center for one year. You will get a thank you call & thank you card from two children for your contribution.
