The Social problem :

Behind Goa’s tourist charm lies a growing crisis. In the remote interiors, street animals suffer silently with no access to veterinary care, rescue services, or welfare support. Tourists see beaches, palm trees and waves—what we see are animals struggling to survive. In rural Goa, most families are unaware of sterilisation or basic care, leading to abandonment, neglect, and cruelty, often unintentional but rooted in ignorance. There are no government hospitals for animals, and no active NGOs in a large stretch of rural Goa. We’re the only organisation operating across this rural belt, managing rescues, sterilisations, treatments, and long-term care.

The Social solution:

Angels for Animals works through a proven 3-part model. Our CNVR (Catch-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release) program controls overpopulation and curbs disease. Our rescue and medical services offer immediate care to injured or abandoned animals, ensuring they receive timely treatment and a chance to heal. Our sanctuary offers life-long care to old and disabled animals who cannot return to the streets. And through our Surakshit Goa program, we work with local communities to promote empathy, reduce conflict, and improve animal welfare awareness. With your help, we can serve hundreds of animals every month, reduce suffering before it starts, and create safer, more compassionate spaces for both animals and people across Goa.
