AASTHA CAMPAIGN TO PROVIDE THERAPY TO CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY FROM FINANCIALLY CHALLENGING BACKGROUND

I am running an online fundraising campaign to provide Therapy to Children with Disabilities in Rural India. Children with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Multiple Disabilities in rural India are unable to access therapy due to poverty, high transportation costs, and lack of nearby rehabilitation centres. Their parents, often daily wage earners, cannot afford to take time off work or pay for travel, leaving these children untreated and isolated. Aastha Rehab Care Society is solving this by bringing therapy to their doorsteps. Aastha’s multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and special educators visits 150 registered children in their homes, providing consistent treatment, medicines, and assistive devices. Support this initiative by contributing any amount using Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Donations are 80G eligible. You'll receive a report on fund usage. (Note: Foreign contributions not accepted.) Let’s reach every child. Bring therapy home.

The Social problem :

In rural India, hundreds of children with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Multiple Disabilities are unable to access essential therapy. Nearly 150 children face challenges due to the lack of therapeutic centres in their villages. Their parents, often daily wage earners, must choose between earning a living and taking their child to distant therapy centres, an unaffordable and unsustainable burden. Transportation costs and time constraints make consistent treatment nearly impossible. As a result, children from poorer families are left behind while those from urban, affluent backgrounds show improvement. Studies show disabilities like cerebral palsy affect 1 in 300 children, autism 1 in 39, and the rural prevalence is nearly 3 times that of urban areas. These children need lifelong care, yet support systems in rural areas remain shockingly absent.

The Social solution:

To address the urgent therapy needs of 150 children with disabilities in rural India, the team Aastha Rehab Care Society has launched a home-based therapeutic care initiative. These children, many with conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Multiple Disabilities, require consistent rehabilitation, but face barriers like high transportation costs and lack of access to qualified professionals. The solution involves assembling a multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and special educators who regularly visit the children at home. This approach ensures ongoing medical care, therapy, medicine, and the provision of assistive devices. By reaching the children where they live, the initiative eliminates travel burdens for low-income families and provides consistent, personalised care. Your support will help cover professional salaries, treatment supplies, and travel costs, ensuring no child is left behind due to disability or poverty.
