The Social problem :

For millions of underprivileged children in India, despite the developments in education space, there are no/very limited educational opportunities. The aim of education is not only to impart knowledge but also build the abilities to think and to acquire habits, skills and attitude which characterizes an individual. The world’s most vulnerable children from disadvantaged communities miss out on school, especially young girls. Many children have to work at an early age to support their family. Girl children are forced to get married at an early age or they drop out of the school due to menstrual hygiene and few other out of control reasons. For many children traveling long distance is unaffordable for their parents. Regular food, good clothes, right and quality education, basic health care, nutrition, skill building, insurance, good place to stay and more is just a luxury that is not affordable by their families.

The Social solution:

Visamo Kids Foundation support 89 children with food, good clothes, right and quality education, basic health care, nutrition, skill building, insurance, good place to stay, and more. Visamo Kids is a shelter home established in 2002 and aims to help children grow as confident human beings empowering them with opportunities to stand an equal in the society. Access to proper infrastructural facilities, provision of adequate and nutritious food, and creating space for expanding avenues for comprehensive development of children are key tenets of the organization. Currently there are 89 kids enrolled in the organization, all of whom are from marginalised communities and families. Team VKF is seeking sponsorship for 36 children and are looking at renovating the playground, renovating the walls so that the living spaces are cheerful enough for the kids to feel happy to stay in.
