NAB DELHI CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE, PROVIDE VOCATIONAL SKILLS, AND REHABILITATE INDIVIDUALS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT
I am running an online fundraising campaign to provide education, vocational training, and technology to individuals with visual impairment. Millions with visual impairments struggle with education, jobs, and inclusion. In India, 8 million are blind, with many more facing vision loss. Limited healthcare, poor nutrition, and environmental factors worsen the crisis, leading to social exclusion and fewer opportunities for independence. Team NAB Delhi empowers individuals with visual impairment through education, vocational training, and technology, providing inclusive opportunities, pioneering assistive tools, and enabling children to study in top schools. Please support this campaign by entering the amount you wish to contribute using a Credit/Debit card, Net-banking, etc. Contributing to the campaign has 80G tax benefits. You will also get a report on how funds were used by NAB Delhi. Foreign contribution is not allowed. Let us Empowering the Visually Impaired with Education & Inclusion
Individuals with disabilities such as visual impairments and deaf blindness, and additional disabilities often lack access to the training and education necessary for inclusion in mainstream society and to become contributing members. Individuals with visual impairments and deafblindness often face significant barriers to education, employment, and social integration. These challenges can lead to social exclusion, limited economic opportunities, and a diminished quality of life. Globally, at least 2.2 billion people have a near or distance vision impairment. In India, approximately 8 million people are blind, with millions more experiencing other forms of visual impairment. Visual impairment and associated disabilities have been longstanding issues in India, with historical records indicating their presence for centuries. The prevalence of visual impairments in India can be attributed to various factors such as Health, Socioeconomic and Environmental.
Empowering the Visually Impaired with Education & Inclusion. The National Association for the Blind (NAB) Delhi is dedicated to empowering individuals with visual impairments and multiple disabilities through education, vocational training, and technology. Since the 1980s, NAB Delhi has provided early interventions, inclusive education, and specialized training, enabling over 250 children annually to study in top schools. With hostels, preparatory schools, and a Centre for Multiple Disabilities, NAB Delhi ensures equal opportunities for all. It has pioneered computer training, digital talking books (DAISY), and the SAFA screen reader, making education accessible. Your support can help NAB Delhi continue its mission of inclusion and empowerment, transforming lives and enabling independence. Donate today to make a difference!
