I am running an online fundraising campaign to set up mobile health care camps in villages that raises awareness about health and hygiene, and set up digital water ATMs that will be run and managed by the community to ensure sustainable pure drinking water is accessible for all. The lack of access to medical services forces villagers to travel long distances, resulting in delayed treatment and worst health issues. Villagers are forced to rely on contaminated water sources, leading to waterborne diseases like diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid. The Man block in Satara district is grappling with severe healthcare and water crises. The lack of access to basic medical services forces villagers to travel long distances, resulting in delayed treatment and exacerbating health issues. Preventable diseases are rampant due to inadequate health check-ups and preventive care. Furthermore, poor health awareness perpetuates problems like malnutrition, anemia, and maternal health concerns. Compounding these issues is the scarcity of clean drinking water. Villagers are forced to rely on contaminated sources, leading to a high incidence of waterborne diseases like diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid. Even when safe water is available, financial constraints prevent low-income families from accessing it regularly. The absence of digital payment methods in these rural areas further restricts financial inclusion, hindering villagers' ability to access essential services like healthcare and clean water.
To address healthcare deficiencies and water scarcity in the Man block of Satara district, we propose an integrated solution. Mobile health camps will be conducted in each village, offering essential healthcare services, health awareness programs, and specialized services for vulnerable groups. Digital Water ATMs will be installed, providing affordable, purified drinking water and supporting cashless transactions via UPI. The Water ATMs will be managed by local community groups, ensuring sustainability and community ownership. This comprehensive approach addresses the root causes of health issues, promotes safe water use, and enhances financial literacy. By combining healthcare services with access to clean water, we aim to improve the overall health and well-being of the community, ensuring every individual has access to the resources they need to lead a healthy life.
BBKVGSS is a non profit organisation that facilitates the grass-roots level institutions with government support for integrated rural development of the rural masses and improving the quality of life of economically backward communities of India.
The proceeds will be given to BBKVGSS who will use the funds to set up mobile health camps and digital water ATMs. This will enable over over 2500 people to access safe drinking water and health care services. Feel free to volunteer.
You will receive a 80G receipt for your valuable contribution in 7 days after the campaign is closed from BBKVGSS. Foreign contribution is not allowed. You will receive details of how money was spent after project is executed.
