YODA'S CAMPAIGN TO PROVIDE MEALS, SHELTER, AND STERILISE STRAY ANIMALS
I am running a crowdfunding campaign with Team Yoda (Youth Organization in Defence of Animals) to sterilize, and provide meals and shelter to stray animals in Mumbai. As you read this, there are probably thousands of strays out who are hungry, need medical attention, or are dead. Between 50000 to 100000 stray animals are killed daily by road accidents, lack of food, human cruelty, poor medical conditions, and more. Approximately 50% of the stray animals are not sterilised, resulting in an increase in population, which in turn leads to more and more strays on the streets being left to suffer and die. I kindly request your support for this campaign by contributing an amount of your choice which can be as low as Rs 100. Donation methods can be Credit/Debit cards, Net-banking, etc. Contributing to the campaign offers you 80G tax benefits. Rest assured, you will also get a report on how the funds were used by YODA. Foreign contribution is not allowed.
The streets of India are home to more than 35 million stray animals, and their population is rapidly multiplying. The increasing number of stray animals affects the people living nearby and has a significant impact on the animals themselves. Approximately 50,000 to 100,000 stray animals are killed daily due to road accidents, lack of food, human cruelty, poor medical conditions, and other factors. Nearly 50% of these stray animals have not been sterilized, leading to further population growth. Each month, over 100 animals are abandoned or injured on the streets of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane. Most of these animals are left without notice or treatment for days, until their injuries become severe or even fatal.
Team YODA has taken the initiative to provide shelter, meals, and sterilize stray animals in Mumbai. Sterilization of stray animals plays a crucial role in controlling the population. By spaying or neutering the animals, Team YODA helps prevent uncontrolled breeding, which can lead to overpopulation and related issues. Post sterilisation, animals usually require 4-5 days of healing for which your funds will be used. While they are kept in shelter, they need to provide meals to these animals as well. All in all, these funds will help impact over hundreds of strays in Mumbai.
Founded in 2010, YODA provides shelter, medical care, and meals for stray animals. It started by conducting awareness in schools, residential societies and communities to educate individuals about what to do when they see a stray animal in distress.
The funds collected will be given to YODA who will use it to buy medicines, surgical equipments, meals for stray animals, and build shelter for stray animals. You are welcome to volunteer and help us in the mission to protect stray animals.
You will receive a 80G receipt 7 days after the campaign is closed from YODA. Foreign contribution is not allowed. You will receive details of how money was spent 6 months after the campaign is closed from YODA.
